The project aims to create a modular planter system to enhance urban greening in Hong Kong's dense areas, incorporating circular economy principles by recycling urban waste. The planter consists of three main components—twig (planter), branches (frame), and trunk (canopy)—allowing for varied combinations in size and function. These planters can serve multiple purposes as dividers, accents, or temporary shelters in transitional spaces like pocket parks. The design also facilitates the use of damaged planters, which can be processed into biochar concrete for 3D printing new planters, promoting sustainability.
